  • The service reached its configured maximum number of container instances.
  • Cold starts are too slow relative to the incoming request rate.
  • A sudden traffic spike exceeded the service's ability to scale quickly enough.
  1. Check the container instance count and max-instances configuration for the service.
  2. Increase the maximum instance limit or request a quota increase if the service is regularly approaching capacity.
  3. Reduce startup time and long request durations so Cloud Run can scale more effectively under load.
