Microsoft Entra blocked the sign-in because the account is locked after repeated bad attempts or because the sign-in was blocked due to risky or malicious IP activity.

  • The user account was locked after repeated failed sign-in attempts.
  • Sign-in was blocked because it originated from an IP associated with malicious activity.
  • Conditional access or risk evaluation prevented the authentication flow.
  1. Review the failed sign-in in Microsoft Entra sign-in logs to confirm the failure reason.
  2. Unblock or remediate the user account if it is locked.
  3. Retry only after the underlying risk or lockout condition has been addressed.
