Why it happens

The current user account does not have administrator privileges required to modify system files during installation.

How to fix it

On Windows, right-click the Adobe installer file and select 'Run as administrator', then select Yes when prompted by UAC.
On macOS, Control-click (or right-click) the installer file, select Open, and enter your administrator username and password when prompted.
Ensure your user account is set to Administrator before attempting the installation.
If on a managed device, contact IT to install the software with elevated privileges.
