A Windows install policy is preventing the Creative Cloud app from being installed. This typically occurs when Group Policy or AppLocker settings restrict the installation of UWP or packaged applications on the device.

  • Group Policy Object (GPO) settings are configured to block the installation of packaged or UWP apps.
  • AppLocker rules are preventing the deployment of the Creative Cloud app package.
  • A registry policy under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Appx is set to block app installs.
  1. Open the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) and review policies related to trusted app installation or packaged app deployment.
  2. In Local Security Policy, navigate to Application Control Policies > AppLocker > Packaged app Rules and check for blocking rules.
  3. Check registry values under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Appx for keys set to 1 that block installation.
  4. On a work device, contact the IT administrator to adjust the relevant policies to allow Adobe app installation.
