  1. Open the Creative Cloud installation log and locate the specific error message listed below the Exit Code 7 entry.
  2. Remove or rename any folders left over from prior installation attempts in Program Files (Windows) or Applications (macOS).
  3. Correct the file permissions on the parent directory flagged in the log, using an administrator account.
  4. Re-attempt the installation after clearing leftover files and fixing permissions.
