Adobe Creative Cloud installation failed with Error 9
Error code: 9
The installer cannot read the consent information stored in the AdobeGCInfo folder. If the consent registry entry or the folder itself becomes corrupted, the installer cannot access the Adobe Genuine Service preferences and the installation fails.
The AdobeGCInfo folder or its contents are corrupted, preventing the installer from reading consent data.
An interrupted installation or manual file change corrupted the consent registry entry.
Disk errors caused the AdobeGCInfo folder to become unreadable.
How to fix it
On Windows: open Registry Editor (Windows + R, type regedit), navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Genuine Service\Consent\Retail, right-click ConsentInfo and select Delete. Then go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\AdobeGCInfo and delete the AdobeGCCInfo folder if it exists.
On macOS: open Spotlight (Command + Spacebar), type /Users/Shared/ and press Return, then delete the AdobeGCInfo folder if it exists. Also check /Library/Preferences and remove any related Adobe Genuine preference files.
Restart the Creative Cloud desktop app and respond to the Adobe Genuine Service consent dialog when it reappears.
